Sabbatical Day 39

24 Feb

Finished reading Stockman’s Trumped!  His message is clear, the military-industrial-congressional complex is sucking up resources that could be used by the private sector to create a stronger economy.  Stockman also points out that “we sit on the cusp of the their Bubble Finance crash of this century.”  Be warned.

23 Feb

“Last week, The Wall Street Journal revealed that members of the intelligence community — part of the deep state, the unseen government within the government that does not change with elections — now have acquired so much data on everyone in America that they can selectively reveal it to reward their friends and harm their foes. Their principal foe today is the president of the United States.”

Sabbatical Day 37

22 Feb

Continued reading Trumped by Stockman, who makes the case why Trump had a chance of winning the presidency (the book was published before the November election), because the Federal Reserve’s polices for the past three decades has caused the incomes of “flyover country” to stagnate.  In other words, blue collar and low income white collar workers have been the victims of the Fed’s easy money policies that have enriched the one percenters beyond their wildest dreams.
